Segalanya bermula dengan baik, aku dan rakan ke Dataran Shah Alam untuk melakukan ‘countdown’ tahun baru. Kami bersetuju untuk melewatkan dinner hari itu supaya kami tak perlu keluar semula untuk acara tahunan menyambut kedatangan tahun baru. Jam menunjukkan lebih kurang 10.45 malam apabila kami memulakan perjalanan ke destinasi makan malam kami yang juga berhampiran dengan Dataran Shah Alam. Perjalanan kami ditemani hujan renyai yang sedikit sebanyak memburukkan keadaan jalan raya dan trafik sungguhpun Shah Alam bukanlah terkenal dengan jam seperti kebanyakan bandaraya lain. Tapi aku telah lebih awal memikirkan untuk dinner di Shah Alam Walk, a walk away dari Dataran Shah Alam kerana bagi mereka yang mengetahui sikap aku tentu tahu yang aku tidak begitu gemar driving terutamanya ketika sibuk.

Well, kami sampai 20 minit kemudian dan ternyata warga shah alam turut bersama kami untuk menyambut tahun baru di situ. Deretan kenderaan diletakkan di bahu jalan sekitar pusat bandar membuat ku terfikir mungkin parking bays yang disediakan tidak mencukupi. Walaubagaimanapun aku terus ke basement Alam Sentral untuk parking di situ dan ternyata ia lengang. Mungkin ramai yang lebih selesa parking di bahu jalan dari di tempat meletak kenderaan yang disediakan, fikir ku.

Aku dan rakan terus ke gerai Char Koay Teow yang terletak bertentangan dengan Quality Hotel. 2 Char Koay Teow, 1 Nescafe O Ais dan 1 Teh O Ais Limau menjadi pilihan kami waktu itu. Seperti biasa, Char Koay Teow di situ memang yang terbaik di Shah Alam. Memang menyelerakan di samping 6 batang Otak-Otak yang menjadi desert buat rakan aku tadi. Jam menunjukkan pukul 11.45 malam. Tinggal 15 minit sahaja sebelum tahun 2005 di tinggalkan bersama memori yang manis, masam dan hambar.

Selepas membuat bayaran, kami melangkah ke Dataran Shah Alam untuk bersama ribuan warga shah alam yang lain. Tidak seperti tahun-tahun terdahulu, tiada selebrasi khas yang diaturkan oleh kerajaan negeri pada tahun ini. Yang ada cuma ribuan warga yang kehilangan seperti aku. Tiada skrin besar. Yang ada hanyalah ribuan mata yang tak tahu kemana mata perlu ditumpu. Semua sibuk dengan aktiviti sendiri.

Jam besar atau the Big Ben of Shah Alam menjadi penentu saat kemuncak sambutan malam itu. Jam menunjukkan 11.59 minit malam. Tetapi, ia sudah melaungkan musik menandakan telah masuknya tahun baru diikuti dengan 12 dentuman loceng yang menjadikan khalayak terpinga-pinga kerana tiada siapa yang mahu memulakan countdown dan tidak tahu bagaimana untuk meraikan detik itu kerana tiada arahan seperti selalu. Dan tiada juga bunyi mercun untuk menandakan saat itu..

Tiba-tiba kedengaran letupan sebutir bunga api mungkin hasil usaha warga Shah Alam yang ‘prihatin’ dan semua hadirin ternyata teruja dengan letupan kecil itu dan akhirnya perayaan tahun baru itu seolah-oleh lengkap dan sempurna.

Begitu lah serba pathetic nya sambutan tahun baru di bandaraya anggerik ini, tapi bagi aku ia tetap menghiburkan. Mungkin, kerana beberapa sebab tertentu.
Pertamanya, aku bertemankan seorang rakan yang telah lama aku tidak ketemu. Seorang rakan yang selalunya mengisi kegembiraan dalam diri aku tapi malangnya saat-saat sebegini begitu jarang berlaku kerana faktor jarak dan masa.

Keduanya, aku rasa aku tak perlukan ransangan luar untuk menghiburkan aku, kerana aku sendiri merupakan hiburan diri aku.

Ketiganya, aku sedar yang kebanyakkan kita terlalu biasa mengikut arahan dan akhirnya kita hilang bila tiada siapa yang cuba mengarah. Dan aku bukan yang sedemikian.

Keempatnya, aku berterima kasih kepada sesiapa yang menyalakan bunga api pada saat tadi, kerana sungguhpun kecil, ia menjadi pelangkap kepada kehilangan yang besar untuk sebahagian kita… kehilangan arah..

Akhirnya, kerana aku percaya yang kita adalah hiburan kita sendiri, perhatikan tindak tanduk manusia di sekeliling kita, pastinya ada sesuatu yang bisa menghiburkan.. Sebab, We Are Our Own Entertainment.

Kredit buat penyala bunga api, adik-adik yang berkonvoi basikal dengan aksi melucukan, dan akak-akak yang kehilangan anak akibat asyik berhibur.

Benarlah kata orang.. manusia takkan pernah berubah. Aku bukanlah seorang yang pesimis tetapi sepanjang hidup aku, jarang sekali aku bertemu dengan mereka yang berubah sikapnya secara positif. Seseorang itu boleh berlaku baik pada sesuatu ketika tapi pada dasarnya perlakuan atau ‘behaviour’ memang boleh berubah mengikut keadaan, tetapi perubahan yang aku maksudkan ialah perubahan sikap atau ‘attitude’

Aku bukan Freudian yang percaya bahawa segala sikap manusia telah lengkap sempurna apabila kita berusia 5 hingga 6 tahun. Menurut pandangan Sigmund Freud setelah melangkaui umur 5 atau 6 tahun itu, kita bakal membesar dengan sikap yang itu untuk sepanjang hayat berikutnya.

Aku nyatanya bukan Freudian. Aku mungkin Neo Freudian. Seusia 5-6 tahun mungkin terlalu awal untuk kita membentuk sikap secara sedar.. bagi aku sikap terbentuk sewaktu kita mula mengenali zaman remaja.. Mungkin sekitar 12 hingga 13 tahun. Kerana sungguhpun selepas kita melalui zaman rebellious sekitar 15 hingga 18 tahun, kebanyakan kita kan kembali waras dan kembali tenang seperti usia sebelum 13 tahun. Ini hanyalah sekadar observasi yang aku buat melalui pengalaman yang aku tempuh.. jadi ia bukan lah pandangan yang saintifik…

Aku sedar hal ini semenjak lama dulu.. sememangnya manusia tidak pernah berubah setelah sikap mereka terbentuk seawal usia 12 atau 13 tahun.. Kalau ada pun mereka yang betul betul berubah, tentu sekali bersebabkan mereka ‘learnt a hard lesson’ atau kerana suatu kejadian traumatis yang memungkinkan perubahan.

MASALAHNYA betapa juga kearifan aku tentang yang ini, aku juga lemah. Bila aku sayangkan seseorang, aku telankan segala kelemahan dengan harapan dia akan berubah, sekali aku tewas, aku terus juga memberikan harapan untuk dia berubah. Malangnya.. manusia kan takkan pernah berubah.. Kan aku juga telah tahu tentang itu.. tapi kenapa aku lupa? Tapi kenapa aku lemah?

Aku Juga Manusia!!!

I had been listening to this song on the FM for quite sometimes but I never really gotta know what's the title.. until yesterday when a really 'hot' friend of mine told me about his favorit tune of the day which is "Bad Day" by Daniel Powter.

It's a very warmth song for a really Bad Day. I'd like to dedicate this song to all friends at The Feel Good World because everyday seems like a bad day to most of them.. :-(

Kalau bosan.. people go there for a walk at nite. Park your car at the end and walk towards the other end.. Lepas tu you akan rasa menyesal coz you have to walk back to you car.. You would say to yourself yang you tak nak buat dah kerja bodoh camtu..

Truly unbelievable.. the 5 of us live in the suburb.. basically life is less hectic at homes. But, we heard about this great place; KLPAC.. a santuary in the city. We were sceptical.. yes we were..until we reached the place somewhere in Sentul West.. everything changed..

KLPAC is so serene and calm despite being in the heart of KL.

It's the place for everyone..
